John Huntingdon’s Charity welcomes contributions from local people and organisations to help support the needs of individuals and families whose circumstances have changed, often at short notice.

JHC co-ordinates a team of volunteers that collects donations throughout the year.

Money
As a busy charity working locally, we’re aware we could always do more but our resources are limited. Our team and trustees work hard to ensure that JHC will continue far into the future by maintaining a solid financial base right now. Details can be found here.
We are very grateful for all your financial donations which are put to good use, generally by supporting our grants for individuals and the JHC Food Bank.
Here’s some examples of the difference a donation, of whatever size, can make:
- £468 per year pays for an Age UK mobile warden
- £194 covers the cost of a Sawston Village College uniform (excluding shoes)
- £79 would pay for a primary school uniform (excluding shoes)
- £5 or £10 covers the cost of a supermarket voucher to be included in a JHC food bag or Christmas hamper towards fresh fruit, meat and vegetables.

Legacy
JHC was formed by a single legacy more than 450 years ago. This has made a considerable difference to Sawston and the people who live and work here. It would be wonderful to continue the tradition of leaving money, land, or property in a will to the charity for the benefit of local people.
