JHC Grants
We support local people for whom a small grant for practical items can make a world of difference to their wellbeing. In recent years JHC has given a wide range of grants towards the specific needs of school children, vulnerable adults and many more.
We can provide Sawston clients only with grants for essential items and these practical measures often complement the emotional advice from our Support service.
In 2023, we distributed over £30,000 as major grants to assist a number of local organisations to work with Sawston residents.
In addition, grants to individuals was over £50,000, this includes grants that we claimed on behalf of our other organisations.

Individuals and families
JHC makes grants available to individuals and families that are on low incomes. These are given for a variety of essential items including cookers, washing machines or beds. JHC will also consider grants for school trips and school uniforms as well as sometimes providing assistance towards nursery or playgroup fees.
First of all, simply ring us on 01223 492492 to arrange an appointment to discuss this in confidence with one of our friendly Support workers.
