The charity’s objects and powers are established in particular, but not exclusively, for the benefit of those who live, work and study in Sawston and elsewhere locally. To relieve either generally or to individual persons who are in conditions of need or distress, to provide advice and support for individuals disadvantaged through poverty.

In line with all UK charities, each year John Huntingdon’s Charity must prepare and file online accounts and a trustees’ report for open access via the Charity Commission’s website gov.uk/government/organisations/charity-commission.

The charity is fortunate that over 90% of its income is known in advance. We operate within our means and our team and trustees take very seriously their responsibilities to ensure JHC remains a going concern.
